Madeline – Self Portrait in Oil

Today I am sharing a painting by my daughter – “Madeline – a Self Portrait in Oil”.

This was a very special and meaningful project for Madeline because it is the very last painting she completed during her high school art class. Madeline will be graduating this Friday.  During her four years of high school Madeline sometimes struggled with the usual situations that most young people do. She really didn’t enjoy most classes. Her extremely creative and artistic personality was not built to endure the more left brained curriculum.

Art class was the light shining in the high school tunnel. Every minute that she was able to, she would find her way to the only classroom in the building where she felt comfortable.
